Casings.-The indicator casing of an automatic or semi-automatic weighing-scale is supported on a mounting-piece that is located wholly or partly within the base casing and is supported solely from the top and/or sides of that casing, or parts formed on or projecting from the top or sides. The lever system of a weighing scale, Figs. 1 and 3, is supported in knife-edge bearings 17 on a mounting-piece 4 that is supported from the top of a base casing 1 by a long bolt 5 and two short bolts 6. The indicator casing 10 bears on four quadrantal surfaces 9 of the mounting-piece, to which it is rotatably connected by a hollow pivot 13 and annular spring members 14. In a modification, the mounting-piece is 'supported by two long bolts and a set screw that passes through the end of the casing.
