Abstract

202,530. Avery, Ltd., W. & T., and Timson, W. Sept. 8, 1922. Compound-lever apparatus; pendulum-weight apparatus.-Relates to even armed weighing scales of the type in which the two scale-plates 7, 8 are supported on a pair of levers 16 suspended from an even armed lever 14 from which the levers 12 are also suspended. On one of the levers 12 is mounted a bracket 21, on which is pivotally mounted a lever-weight 23, and the bracket is provided with a stop-pin 24 which is adapted to engage a projecting arm 23<a> on the lever-weight, the arm being provided with a pin 25 within a link 26 suspended by a connecting rod 27 from the pendulous lever 28, which is connected to the weight-indicator 41. The pendulous lever system and the weight indicating mechanism are mounted on a removable bracket 31 secured within the upper part of the scale-housing 32.
