Abstract

Counter-scales and the like; pendulum-weight apparatus; casings.-In automatic or semi-automatic weighing apparatus the casing containing the indicating mechanism is secured directly to the base housing by means permitting rotation of the casing relative to the base housing about an axis coincident with the central vertical axis of the casing without involving any disturbance, of the indicating or weighing mechanism. The lower end of the casing 16 of the indicator is attached by screws 17 to an annular plate 18 encircling an annular guide 19 secured to the base housing 8. A pair of screws 21 passing through the base of the casing 16 engages flanged bushes working within curved guide slots 8<b> formed in the housing 8. After slackening the screws 21 the indicator casing may be rotated. The lever system within the housing 8 is connected to the usual pendulum mechanism 12 through a lever weight 9, lost motion link 10, an adjustable, swivel connection 24, 25, Fig. 5, and a flexible ribbon 11. The point of connection of the link 10 with the lever weight 9 is located in a vertical plane containing the fulcrum 12<b> of the pendulum and in the central vertical axis of the casing 16.
