242,933. Grolan Manufacturing Co., (Assignees of Frank, W. N., and Croninger, L. don). Nov. 17, 1924, [Convention date]. Indicators actuated by floats.-The float of a liquid level gauge is connected to the indicator by a flexible cable passing through a stationary guide tube, and by a fine wire passing through a flexible guide tube and connected to the flexible cable and to the indicator. A flexible cable 19 secured to a float arm 13 passes through a tube 3 secured to a plate 5 depending into the tank and carrying a pivoted arm 10 to which the float arm is secured. The plate is welded to a disc 1 adapted to be secured in the gauge opening in the tank. The flexible cable is joined to a wire 29 projecting from a flexible guide tube 33, the wire passing through a fine opening in the screwed member 31 coupling the flexible guide tube to the tube 3. In the indicator, a spring drum carrying indicating figures is adapted to be rotated by a pulley, around which is a chain attached to the wire 29.
