Abstract

240,431. Krumm, P., and Seignol, E. Sept. 24, 1924, [Convention date]. Indicators actuated by floats. - A floatoperated liquid level indicator for use in fuel tanks comprises a tube 1, carried by a cap 3 screwed to the tank, and dipping into the liquid. The float 4 is attached by a ribbon 8 to a drum 5 mounted in a casing 7, and containing a spring tending to rotate it in a direction to lift the float. The ribbon is graduated and is observed through a window 9. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect.. 91 (3) (a) comprises also another form, Fig. 3 (Cancelled), in which the float 4 is adapted to slide over a rectangular rod 11 carrying an indicating drum 12. The float carries projections 14 moving in helical slots 15 in the tube 1, so that its angular position in determined by its level, and is indicated by the drum 12. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
