158,751. Avery, Ltd., W. & T., and Timson, W. Nov. 28, 1919. Pendulum-weight apparatus.-In a weighing- scale of the automatic type wherein the scalepan 12 is located above the weigh-beam 14 and is connect.ed by means of a leg 7 to the weighbeam and to a parallel-motion link 32, the weigh. beam is connected by an arm 20 and by a knifeedged link 22 to a pendulum-weight lever 24 which is mounted on a knife-edge 25 and carries a duplex indicating-pointer co-operating with an inclined scale at each side of the machine, the whole of the mechanism being encased to exclude dust. The pendulum-weight lever may carry one or more adjustable weights 40. A dash-pot 28 and a buffer 43 are provided.
