Abstract

255,584. Marks, E. C. R., (Toledo Scale Co.). May 20, 1925. Addition to 248,966. Bearings.- Relates to means of the kind described in the parent Specification for preventing the derangement of the load-pivot of a weigh beam in its bearing, and consists in the engagement of a cone pivot on the beam with a bearing-plate on the scale-pan spider. As shown, the knife-edges 4 of a beam 3 are held in their bearings 12<1> by the engagement of cone-pivots 21 on the beam with the surfaces of bearing-plates 17 disposed beneath the scale-pan spider 5. The cone-pivots and bearing-plates are adjustable to bring their points of contact into alignment with the knifeedges 4.
