748,437. Weighing-apparatus. PERRY & SONS (SCALEMAKERS), Ltd., G. Nov. 29, 1954 [Nov. 27, 1953], No. 32946/53. Class 143 A weighing scale, with lever-connected load and tare pans, has its lever mechanism mounted on a cover for retraction through an opening in the casing. In the embodiment as applied to a counting scale, the beams 10, 11 are pivoted at 20 and 16 respectively to stirrups 17, 12 which hang from the detachable cover 7 by means of pivot pins 18, 13. Beams 10, 11 are linked at 22 and carry detachable tare and load pans 24, 2 respectively in the positions shown. The screw mechanism 29, enclosed in a cover allows beam 10 to move with pivot 18 relative to beam 11 to adjust the scale poise or state of equilibrium.
