539,570. Supplying gas and oil fuels. MANGOLETSI, G. A. June 1, 1940, No. 9617. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (iii)] When using gas as an alternative fuel an air-gas mixture is supplied to the air inlet of a carburetter. A casing a which is clipped to a carburetter inlet c. is provided with gas inlet passages e and air inlet passages f both of which are controlled by a light disc valve o having ring-like projections which bear around the air and gas passages. A plug i regulates the size of the gas admission supply passage whereas the air passages are controlled by a rotatable disc j. In the event of a backfire the gases escape past a non-return valve q to ports s backed with wire gauze. To change over to petrol the gas supply is turned off and the valve q is held open to allow air to pass to the carburetter. The valve q may be replaced by a plug.
