Abstract
528,793. Transformers. BRITISH THOMSONHOUSTON CO., Ltd. May 3, 1939, No. 13221. Convention date, May 4, 1938. [Class 38 (ii)] In a regulating transformer, the tapped section D of the regulating winding is arranged in the "leakage channel," i.e., between the high tension winding A and the inner of the two untapped sections B, C of the low tension winding. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 includes an arrangement in which the section D is arranged to give only coarse regulation and is associated, with an additional section providing fine regulation and arranged on the outside of the winding structure, and a further arrangement in which the invention is applied to auto-transformers. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
