[Class 80 (ii)] In built - up crankshafts for internal - combustion engines, the hollow pins 1 are formed with teeth 4 wholly or partly around their ends to engage corresponding teeth on the cheeks 3, a key 6 being passed through each pair of members and retained by a split ring 5. A bronze bush 2 may be used. Plates 7, 8 close the pin ends.
