[Class 122 (i)] [See also Group XXXIV] The cap d of a master connecting-rod a is secured to the body on one side by a pin or pins f, parallel to the crank-pin, and on the other side by studs g. The pin or pins f are driven through holes in intermeshing lugs on the cap and body. A key or keys h, engaging grooves in the surfaces of the cap and body between the studs g, prevent lateral movement. Auxiliary connecting-rods c<1>, c<2>, c are pivoted to lugs d<1>, d2, b<1> on the cap and body.
