Connecting-rods.-In a gudgeon-pin connection for an internal-combustion engine of the type in which the split ends a, a<1> of the gudgeon-pin are 'expanded into the bore of the piston-bosses by conical plugs B, B<1> the plugs are formed hollow, and are drawn together by a bolt passing through both plugs, or by a stud C secured to one plug B' and adjusted by a nut c situated in the hollow interior of the other plug B. The plugs may be formed with flanges b situated in recesses d' and overlapping the ends of the gudgeon-pin.
