Abstract

522,106. Discharge lamps. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. (Patent-Treuhand-Ges. fur Elektrische Gl³hlampen). Dec. 1, 1938, No. 35006. [Class 39 (i)] In a high pressure metal vapour lamp the electrodes 1 are surrounded by tungsten linings 2 to the electrode chamber. The lining may be formed from pressed and sintered powder and the quartz wall may be collapsed thereon during manufacture ; in the subsequent cooling the lining will be barely separated from the envelope wall. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 503,112.
