Abstract

468,643. Discharge lamps. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. (Patent-Treuhand- Ges. f³r Elektrische Gl³hlampen) Jan. 22, 1936, No. 2045. [Class 39 (i)] In a high-pressure mercury vapour lamp wherein the pressure during operation exceeds 10 atmospheres, the electrode 5 is carried by the leading-in wire 6, which is surrounded by a quartz shield 7 within the discharge space. The lead passes out through a glass cap 8, connected to the quartz envelope by graded glasses 9, 10, 11. Specification 449,487 is referred to.
