Abstract
510,828. Uniting metal to vitreous materials by heat. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO., Ltd. (Patent-Treuhand- Ges. fur Elektrische Gluhlampen). July 18, 1938, No. 21623. Addition to 499,897. [Class 36] [Also in Group XL] In a high-pressure, mercury-vapour discharge lamp as described in the parent Specification, all the leads to the main and auxiliary electrodes are at one end of the envelope. The main electrodes 5 are carried bv wires 31<1>, 32<1>, attached to plates 31, 32, contacting with the layer leads 3, 11, which are formed as coatings on the quartz tube or rod 4 ; a similar method is used for connecting the layer leads to the supply wires 25, 26.
