574,997. Discharge apparatus. CAIRNS, J. E. I. Aug. 8, 1941, No. 10105. [Class 39 (i)] A target or reflecting electrode 8 used with a resonator 4, 5 has one or more extensions 12 projecting away from the resonator so that when eddy current heating is used in degassing the device, a sufficiently large surface is provided for the electrode to be adequately heated. The extension may be in tube form.
