Abstract

519,588. Beer taps &c. GASKELL & CHAMBERS, Ltd., and WEIGHTMAN, J. S. Sept. 26, 1938, No. 27964. [Class 135] In a tap for dispensing beer &c. having a conical plug-valve, the axis of which is disposed longitudinally of the tap body, the valve is held against its seating by a spring plunger 27 mounted therein and bearing against a cap 23, which closes the end of the body. The plunger is contained in a hollow plug 26, which screws into the valve. The valve is operated by a handle 20, which projects through a T-shaped slot in the tap body, which limits the rotation of the valve and permits its removal.
