689,181. Plug cocks. EDWARDS & CO. (LONDON), Ltd., W., and MANSFIELD, E. J. Nov. 28, 1950 [Dec. 31, 1949], No. 33465/49. Class 135. A glass stop-cock comprises a rotary conical plug member 1, Fig. 4. of tubular form having diametrically opposite holes in its curved surface wherein is fused a tube 4 to provide a bore for the controlled fluid and at its larger end a turned over flange 2 having ears 3 fused thereon to provide a handle. The flange 2 may be polygonal in shape or externally knurled to facilitate turning or may be made as a separate disc of glass, metal, &c. and then attached to the member 1. Grooves 5 above and below the tube 4 charged with grease may be provided for lubricating the cock.
