Abstract

484,083. Reservoir brushes. ORENTREICH, S. Aug. 14, 1937, No. 28734/36. [Class 19] An appliance for supplying liquid preparations to the hair comprises a rigid tube 1 preferably of transparent material such as celluloid or glass, threaded at each end, one end being closed by a cap 2 with air inlet 3 controlled by a spring valve 4 with a push button 6. At the other end of the tube 1 is a needle valve 10 housed in a two body member 12, 15. Initial adjustment of the valve is effected by screwing the valve 10 in or out so that when the parts 12, 15 are tightly screwed together the valve point completely blocks a passage 16. To open the valve the part 15 is unscrewed by means of a knurled surface 18 provided with a scale. Between the parts 12, 15 a rubber sealing washer 21 and a hard slip ring 22 are inserted, the latter to prevent deformation of the washer. Specification 425,162 is referred to.
