Abstract

<PICT:0461386/III/1> <PICT:0461386/III/2> An adhesive-applying device comprises a reservoir 1 communicating with a delivery chamber 6 swept by a reciprocated piston 7 which opens and closes ports 8, 11 in the chamber, and forces adhesive through the nozzle 13 on to the material passing thereunder. The piston is bored at 10, and the elongated nozzle, which is laterally chamfered, may house a spring S which renders more uniform the flow of adhesive. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 the nozzle may be rounded off at its peripheral edges. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
