Abstract

339,351. Coughtrie, O. Sept. 7, 1929. Moving - chamber apparatus.-An inlet port 18 in the lower part of the measuring valve 10 communicates with a port 20 at the top of the valve-casing by way of a channel 21 formed either in the face of the valve or of the valve casing. Air passages 27, 28 and 30, 31 provide for the movement of air during the filling and emptying operations. The valve 10 is conical and is retained by a nut 12 the sharp edge of which bears on a washer 13 to which the handle 16 is keyed. The edge 14 of the casing is also bevelled. A window 17 is inserted in one or each face of the valve.
