Abstract

283,254. Lamarque, G., and Recuere, C. Sept..30, 1926. Fixed-chamber apparatus; valve systems for; froth, dealing with.-An apparatus for serving beer &c. with or without froth consists of a container 1, Fig. 1, with an inlet 4, 7 controlled by a valve 8, and two outlets 11, and 16, 17 for the beer and the froth respectively. The outlets 11, 17 are controlled by two cocks 13, 19, Fig. 2, connected by toothed gearing 20. The cock 13 is also connected by bevel-wheels 14, 10 to, a screwed spindle 9 for adjusting a valve 8 and cutting off the inlet 7. In one position of the handle 15, the inlet 7 and the, froth outlet are cut off, and the beer outlet is open to supply beer without froth. In another position, the beer inlet 7 and the froth outlet 17 are open, the beer outlet being cut off, so as to supply froth without beer. The partition 2 forms the base of an ice container 23 with a drain 24. A shield 21 is fitted over the gearing 14, 20, and adjacent to the cock 13 is a blade 22 for stripping off the excess of froth.
