Abstract

517,831. Stereoscopic kinematography. LUZZATI, T. R. Aug. 8, 1938, No. 23337. Convention date, Aug. 7, 1937. [Class 97 (i)] Still or moving stereoscopic images, are projected by a first optical system 2 producing separate real images 4, 4' of the members of each pair, and by a second system comprising one or more co-axial positive lenses 6 and two negative lenses 7, 7<1> or a bi-prism, the second system producing superposed images of the members which are viewed in a spherical or parabolic concave reflector 8. The images 4, 4<1> may be received on a screen 3, a positive lens may be interposed between the screen 3 and the lens 6, an adjustable diaphragm may be placed between the screen 3 and the interposed lens, and the reflector may be oscillated about its centre point to increase the field in which the images may be viewed. An arrangement of parts is described wherein the projector &c. is beneath the floor of a theatre and the reflector is above the stage.
