Abstract
516,786. Cathode-ray tubes. SIEMENS APPARATE UND MASCHINEN GES. July 7, 1938, No. 20170. Convention date, July 7, 1937. [Class 39 (i)] In a Braun tube, provided with means for deflecting the beam so that it describes a circular path on the screen, an electrical lens, which is controlled by the voltage variations to be measured, is used for radially deflecting the beam. The beam is rotated by electrostatic or magnetic means 4, and the lens 5 comprises perforated discs, the outer ones of which are connected together. The diameter of the circular path may be determined by a steady potential bias on the lens.
