516,462. Spray carburetters. DAIMLERBENZ AKT.-GES. Nov. 25, 1938, No. 34363. Convention date, Dec. 16, 1937. [Class 7 (iii)] An auxiliary carburetter or carburetters is or are brought into action in succession by increases in the delivery pressure of a charging blower i, and the fuel valve g of the auxiliary carburetter is controlled simultaneously with the throttle valve e of the main carburetter. The auxiliary carburetter has a rotary throttle valve f which is controlled; through linkage p, q, by a spring- pressed piston m subjected through a pipe n to the delivery pressure of the blower. In an engine having two main carburetters, fuel is fed to the auxiliary carburetter through passages c<3>, c<4>, containing non-return valves v, from the floatchambers' c of the main carburetters. If the engine is driven round a curve centrifugal force causes one valve to close one passage to prevent emptying of one float chamber.
