Abstract

445,448. Speed governors. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militõrstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. May 21, 1935, No. 14782. Convention date, May 22, 1934. [Class 57] A diaphragm h is loaded by a spring m and connected to the regulating member g of a fuel injection pump c. The chamber k is connected by a pipe r to the throat of a Venturi tube q in the air induction pipe o. A throttle valve p is actuated by a pedal t which is also connected to a loose fitting piston u. When the valve p is opened quickly, the pressure produced by the piston u moves a valve v to close the pipe r and open the port x to allow the entrance of the atmosphere into the chamber k and cause the fuel delivery to be increased temporarily. In a modification the valve v controls the the port x only. In a further modification the cylinder containing the piston u opens directly into the chamber k.
