Abstract
436,126. Speed governors. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militarstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. April 17, 1935, No. 11805. Convention date, May 25, 1934. [Class 57] The output of a fuel-injection pump is controlled by a rack bar x having a pin 11 positioned in a slot 12 in a member 13 connected to a diaphragm 14 loaded by a spring 16. The diaphragm chamber is connected by a pipe m to a Venturi located in the air induction pipe between a throttle valve and the engine. When running idly at low speeds the length of the slot 12 is sufficient to permit the diaphragm to oscillate due to pressure fluctuations without moving the bar x. Outside the idling speed range the bar x engages a plunger 17 loaded by a spring 19. Alternatively, light springs may be arranged on either side of the slot 12 so as to engage the pin 11.
