Abstract
433,841. Speed governors. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militõrstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. Dec. 19, 1934, No. 36378. Convention date, Jan. 26. [Class 57] A speed governor comprises a spring loaded piston m connected to a regulating member k of a fuel injection pump. The piston m is subjected to induction pipe pressure through a pipe o. A short length of pipe p is connected to the induction manifold q and is fitted with a Venturi tube r held in place by the end t of the pipe o. A throttle valve u is fitted in the pipe p and its maximum opening and closing positions are determined by stops 10, 11 engaging a stop y on the valve spindle. A second throttle valve 12 is provided for stopping the engine. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also the modification that the throttle valve 12 may be dispensed with and the engine stopped by directly actuating the member k or by adjusting the stop 11 to allow the valve u to close. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
