[Class 36] [Also in Group VIII] An electric cable comprising an insulated conductor and an enclosure therefore is impregnated and/or filled with a degasiffed oil charged with an inert gas such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide, or helium. The conductor may be stranded and may comprise an oil channel. In the case of a multi-conductor cable oil ducts may be arranged in the filler-spaces. Alternatively conductors separately insulated may be laid in a pipe and the space filled with the treated oil. Specification 409,678 is referred to.
