[Class 126] In a domestic stove with an open fireplace below at least one oven with surrounding flues communicating with the fireplace by means of at least one conduit e, a damper box h, which may be a flanged plate, carries the oven flue damper i or dampers and a control lever j or the like, and is detachably secured in position below the oven with the control lever or the like extending to the front of the stove. In the form shown, dampers i, k, controlling the oven flue e and the main fireplace flue d<1> respectively, are slidably mounted on the flanged plate. The two dampers are both controlled by the lever j, which is pivoted at j<2> and has pin and slot connections with the dampers, so that when one damper is open the other is closed. A pivoted damper o controlling 'the outlet from the back boiler flue d to the main flue d<1>, is operated by a lever m through a connecting rod l. The flanged plate rests on projections g on the side cheeks of the fireplaces.
