[Class 126] In a back-to-back open fireplace and cooking stove, a separate open-fire flue leading to a separate chimney is provided for each fireplace, and both the oven and boiler flues can be connected to either fireplace. In the construction shown the open-fire flues A, B of the grates c, d are separated above the firebacks by a plate q, to the top of which is screwed a further plate l which is bent as shown to enable the back-to-back flues A, B to communicate separately with the side-by-side chimney flues p, o respectively. The boiler a is supported on a wall b and overhangs both grates, which are provided below the boiler with openings c<1>, d<1> leading to the boiler and oven flues f<1>, f<2>. These two flues are controlled by dampers g<1>, g<2> and are connected by a flue i to the chimney flue o of the cooking stove. A damper e sliding through an aperture in a division plate b<1> controls the two openings c<1>, d<1>, allowing either fireplace to communicate with the boiler and oven flues. A damper k controls the open-fire flue A and may be connected to another controlling the flue B.
