[Class 126] [Also in Group XIII] A cooking-range comprises two combustion chambers 1, 7 with grates 14, 15. The front, back, and side walls 9, 11, 12 of the chamber 7, together with a partition 10. deflning a flue 13, are hollow and form a water-boiler. The chamber 1 has three outlets, an outlet 6 leading to the chamber 7, and outlets 4, 5 which lie beneath hot-plates 2, 3 and lead when open to a flue above superposed ovens 37, 38 and below further hot-plates. A damper 8 can be moved to a number of positions, e.g., to close the opening 5 entirely while leaving the outlet 6 open, or to close the outlet 6 while leaving the outlet 5 open to one of the two chambers 1, 7. The hot-plates 2, 3 can be raised, as shown, or lowered to prevent passage of hot gases to the oven flue. Hot gases which pass through 'the latter enter a smoke chamber behind the ovens 37, 38 and beside the combustion chamber 7. The smoke chamber contains an auxiliary boiler 29 connected to the .main boiler. The hot gases from the flue 13 also enter the smoke chamber through a top opening controlled by a damper 31. A curved screen 32 which can be raised and lowered, and situated in the upper part of the smoke chamber determines whether the hot gases from both flues pass to the outlet 28 directly or around the auxiliary boiler 29. The oven flues have a damper 39 and outlets 41, 42 to the smoke chamber. The grate 15 obtains air through a duct 18. The draught regulator 20 of the opening 19 to the ashpit of the grate 14 is linked to a damper 20', so that the duct 18 is closed at the same time as the opening 19. An ash-box 17 forms part of the duct 18, and an ash-box 16 rests on bars 21. It is also stated that either of the boilers may be dispensed with.
