Abstract
142,058. Eisenstein, L. Dec. 30, 1919. Cooking-ranges.-Comprises a special boiler 3, boiler and oven flues, and an additional boiler 30 for use with an enlarged fire-chamber in winter. The boiler or water-head 3 has an internal flue 5 which is continued through an extension 6 of the boiler outside the stove. A supporting-wall 7<a>, 7<b>, 7<c>, Fig. 2, encloses the lower end of the flue 5 and the greater part of the boiler bottom, and has vertical extensions 7<e>, 7<d> between the boiler and the oven 4. Flames &c. from the fire-place pass across the top of the boiler 3 and thence either down between the partitions 7<d>, 7<e>, or over and around the oven, to the space below the boiler, and so to the flue 5 and chimney. The boiler 3 may be conical and its wall corrugated, and the flue 5 may have a spiral groove and be single or multiple. In a modification, the boiler 3 and oven are on opposite sides of the fire-place. The fire-box has an upper part flanked by fireclay 32 and a lower part formed by a boiler 30 connected to a heating system, the grate being at 2<a> in summer and 2 in winter when the heating system is required.
