Abstract
110,097. Greenwood, J. H. Feb. 17, 1917. Cooking-stoves.-A low parlour fire-grate is combined with one or more ovens above the firespace, and another oven arranged under the ashpit and heated by the residual heat of the ashes. Fig. 2 shows an open fire-grate 1 with a drop-bar or utensil-support 6. An oven 4 is arranged beneath the ash-pan 2, and an oven 8 is arranged above the fire-place; above this is a hot-plate 9, the recess above which may be converted into another oven by adding a door 10. The gases from the fire pass up the fire-back 15, and either directly through the flues 17, 19, to the chimney 11, or, the damper 21 being in the position shown, down wards through the flue 18 and under the boiler 14. Air-heating recesses, with louvered openings at the top and bottom, are formed at each side of the stove.
