[Class 39 (i)] In the manufacture of photo-electric cells, a definite quantity of alkali metal such as caesium is vaporized on to a layer of silver or copper, and is converted into caesium oxide, Cs2O by the requisite amount of oxygen, after which the alkali metal is vaporized on to the oxide layer until the maximum sensitivity of the cell has been attained.
