Abstract

570,199. Photo electric cells. BLACKMAN, W., CINEMA-TELEVISION, Ltd., and TOMES, G. A. R. May 20, 1941, No. 6478. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v)] A circuit comprises a photo-electric cell 1, in which a retarding electrode 6, at the same potential as the cathode 2, is interposed between the cathode and the anode 4, and a high resistance 12, of the order of 10 megohms is included in the anode circuit. The cell has a cylindrical envelope with a domed end on which is deposited the photo-sensitive layer 2 connected to the exterior by a wire 3 and platinum foil. The anode is a disc, and the retarding electric a flat annulus, disposed symmetrically about an axis of the cell. The Provisional Specification refers to Specifications 541,794, 541,798 and 541,937.
