Abstract
1434747 Photoelectric tubes INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 17 Aug 1973 [21 Aug 1972] 38899/73 Heading H1D A photoelectric diode comprises an evacuated envelope 14 having a transparent face plate 12 adjacent which is an anode consisting of a metal mesh 18 and a wire probe 20 extending towards a photocathode 22 on a metal plate 24. The arrangement is said to reduce space charge effects and provides a logarithmic characteristic which does not saturate at high light intensities. The probe 20 and the mesh 18 can be connected to individual amplifiers 30, 32.
