Abstract

502,248. Wireless receiving circuits. LETT, F. T. July 14, 1937, No. 19516. [Class 40 (v)] The selectivity of a tuned circuit, such as the input circuit 2 of the screen-grid detector 3, is varied by means of a switch 13 which connects the screen-grid decoupling condenser 11 to the cathode directly or through the variable resistance 14; or the switch may disconnect the condenser from the cathode. By this means the anode impedance of the valve is greatly changed, which varies the damping of circuit 2 by Miller effect. Specifications 378,256 and 467,915 are referred to.
