Abstract

466,250. Wireless signalling. HAZELTINE CORPORATION. Oct. 16, 1936, No. 28151. Convention date, Nov. 19, 1935. [Class 40 (v)] The input tuned circuit 36, 37, 38, 40 of a receiver is adapted to be coupled alternatively to a capacitive aerial 16 or a resistive aerial system 18, such as that described in Specification 462,872, if desired by a switch 31 as shown, in such a way that the effect on the resonant frequency of the tuned circuit is the same for each input coupling. The aerial 16 is connected to the inductance 36 through high pass filter 46, 47, while the system 18 has its unearthed terminal connected to the junction of the two series fixed condensers 37, 38 of the tuned circuit through condenser 50 and inductance 51 which is coupled to the inductance 36. Suitable value of the various reactances are given in the Specification which are preferably chosen to ensure also optimum coupling for the system 18. U.S.A. Specification 1,943,405 is referred to.
