[Class 38 (ii)] [Also in Group XL] A permeability tuned high-frequency system for wireless reception comprises two resonant circuits gang tuned and coupled together by the capacity coupling between the tuning coils and their cores so that tuning to a lower frequency tightens the capacitive coupling between the circuits. The cores are connected together and may be earthed through a condenser 11 or through a series or parallel resonant circuit for the purpose of varying the coupling for a desired portion of the frequency range. The resonant circuits may additionally as shown be coupled by a common fixed condenser 25, or by a condenser connected between the top ends of the coils. The resonant circuits are preferably so designed as to have a constant inductance to resistance ratio but deviations may be compensated by varying the coupling between the circuits.
