649,097. Impedance networks. DU MONT LABORATORIES, Inc., A. B. July 24, 1947, No. 19939. Convention date, Aug. 3, 1946. [Class 40 (viii)] A constant bandwidth tunable coupling circuit for radio frequency amplifiers comprises two inductively coupled fixed coils, each in series with a variable inductance, a condenser in parallel with each series circuit and a condenser common and in parallel to both circuits. Inductive coupling is provided between the fixed coils 3, 4 and the variable inductances 1, 2 are ganged. Capacitive coupling is provided by a condenser 7 common to both circuits. Damping resistances are provided in shunt with each tuned circuit. The fixed coils are so arranged that the current induced by the coupling between them opposes the current flowing due to the capacitive coupling.
