Abstract
239,267. Sharman, A. W., and Radio- Acoustics, Ltd. May 29, 1924. Coupling aerial and detector circuits.-In a receiving system of the kind in which the aerial is coupled to the receiving circuit by a transformer in which the primary and secondary coils are closely coupled and the secondary circuit only is tuned by a variable condenser, the transformer is made as an interchangeable unit and is provided with plug and socket connections so that when changing transformers to suit different bands of wave lengths, all the necessary connections are made automatically. The transformer may have separate primary and secondary coils, as shown in Fig. 1, or it may comprise a single winding with a tapping.
