Abstract
315,039. Brandes, Ltd., (Federal Telegraph Co.). May 4, 1928. Regulating transformers.-In a high-frequency coupling device comprising a pair of relatively movable secondary coils 34, 35 connected to form a variometer, a variable condenser 32 for tuning the coils, and a primary inductance 30 stationary relatively to one 34 of the secondary coils, a common mechanical control 44 simultaneously adjusts the variometer and the condenser so that, when the inductance of the variometer is a maximum, the capacity of the condenser is also maximum. Variation of the variometer simultaneously varies the inductive coupling between the primary and secondary.
