Abstract

261,088. Radio Patents Corporation, and Dubilier, W. Aug. 12, 1925. Thermionic amplifiers; coupling aerial and detector circuits. - An inter-valve coupling or an aerial tuning unit comprises a primary coil 6, an auxiliary coil 7 and a secondary coil 13 the primary and the auxiliary coils having the same number of turns and the secondary a larger number of turns. The auxiliary coil 7 is tuned by a condenser 8 and may be auto-coupled to the secondary coil 13, one end of which is connected to the grid of the following valve and the other may be either left free or connected to the filament circuit. The primary may be in the output circuit of a valve as shown or in an aerial circuit. Iron cores c, c', Fig. 1 may be employed and the condenser 8 may be fixed so that the transformer is adapted for intermediate frequency amplification in a superheterodyne receiver.
