Abstract

311,485. Hunt, N. Bonavia-. Feb. 27, 1928. Thermionic amplifiers.-A coupling for lowfrequency amplification comprises a transformer having one winding L in series with the plate circuit of a valve V1 and the other winding L1 connected between the plate P1 and the coupling condenser C, preferably having a capacity of 0.25 microfarads, and a second transformer having one winding L2 connected between the coupling condenser C and the grid of the second valve V2 and the other winding L3 connected between the grid bias source B2 and the coupling condenser C. A high frequency choke may be inserted between the primary and secondary winding of the transformers, which are preferably similar and have a ratio not greater than 2 1/3 to 1.
