Abstract
364,754. Wireless receiving apparatus; inductances. BIDDINGTON, T. A. and FIELD, R., 54, Union Street, Plymouth. Nov. 14, 1930, No. 34303. [Class 40 (v).] A self - contained high frequency unit comprises a former I with coil windings 3,2 and having associated therewith the necessary apparatus such as a tuning condenser 8, wave-range switch 4, high frequency choke 12, a screen-grid valve 14, and fixed condenser 13. The switch 4 short-circuits the long-wave winding 3 for the short-wave band and the short-wave winding 2 is divided into three sections with tapping terminals 5, 6 for the aerial connection to vary selectivity. The valve is mounted on a metal platform 10 and a transverse screen 15 is fitted at the end of the former. Wanderleads are provided for connection to batteries and the input terminals of a receiver.
