Abstract

373,142. Impedance networks. PAGE, W. I. G., Mayfield, Oxshott, Surrey, and COCKING, W. T., 1, The Mall, Southgate, London. Feb. 16, 1931, No. 4837. [Class 40 (iii).] Tuning apparatus for a wireless receiver of the "band-pass" type, comprising a pair of tuned circuits having a common coupling capacity 18, is provided with auxiliary coils 21, 22 to give a magnetic coupling which is additive to the capacitive coupling. The auxiliary coils may be connected in parallel to one another, as shown, or may be coupled together and connected in series with the main coils. Winding data is given of coils to operate on two-wave bands, the arrangement being shown in Fig. 5, windings 33, 34 being provided to give the magnetic coupling. Fig. 4 shows the construction of the wave change switch 35, 36, which is mounted in the coil base. The coils are mounted in aluminium screening cases.
