Abstract
501,834. Slabs for damping echo eflects. RUDIN, E. May 31, 1937, No. 15072. Void. Convention date, May 30, 1936. [Class 87 (i)] A slab for damping echo. effects comprises sheets 3, 4 of sound-pervious material such as gauze and moisture-proof material such as tarred paper, respectively, separated by strips 1 of corrugated cardboard perpendicular thereto, the corrugations being filled with a loose fibrous material 5 such as asbestos or felt wadding. The slab may be provided with a frame 2 of cardboard or wood veneer. The fibrous material may be drawn into the slab by suction and shaking. In a modification, two such slabs are secured together by a peripheral frame and the space between them filled with fibrous material.
