398,649. Compound wall slabs ; deadening sound. HURDEN, E., The Gables, Harefield, HURDEN, A. P., Bodwen, Green Lanes, Northwood, both in Middlesex, and BEESON, S. E., Rosemary, The Cloisters, Rickmansworth. Oct. 5, 1932, No. 27672. [Classes 20 (ii) and 87 (i).] Wallboard comprises a sheet A of asbestos cement to which is attached a facing of fibrous material B with an intermediate sheet of fibrous material C which is corrugated or indented to form numerous air cavities, the resulting board being fireproof and having sound deadening properties. The fibrous material may be paper, cardboard or the like, or the material used for making suit-cases, and the sheets A, B, C are preferably united by waterproof glue. The inner surfaces may be treated with vermin-proof disinfectant, and the side edges of the board sealed. Specifications 6573/14, 180,320, [both in Class 87 (i), Bricks 8,c.], and 382,325 are referred to.
